1.DAY: MEET AT KARS
Meet in Kars(KSY) Airport at 09:00. Drive to The Cıldır lake. After seeing this lake and its surroundings, which is 1960 metres above sea level, which freezes completely in winter, we take a lunch break and continue to Şavşat. After a long and tring day, we settle in our hotel and then welcome meeting. Dinner at the hotel.
2.DAY: BALIKLI LAKE – ŞİRATA LAKE – BALIKLI LAKE
8km – Mideum – Deparute at 09:00 am
After breakfast, we move towards Balıklıgöl. After a car journey that will take about 1.5 hours, we complete our preparations and start walking towards Şirata Lakes. After exploring the small and large Şirata lakes in turn, we finish the walk in Balıklıgöl by watching the Karçal Mountains and beyond from the forest pathway. After lunch, we move towards Şavşat Karagöl. We take a break according to our arrival time in Karagöl. Dinner at the hotel.
3.DAY: MADEN VILLAGE – CANCİR VALLEY – LEKOBAN – FINDIKLI – EFELER
5 km – Mideum – Deparute at 09:00 am
After breakfast, we say goodbye to Şavşat and move to the Maçahel Valley, which is UNESCO’s only Biosphere Reserve in Turkey. On our way, we will have lunch in the village of Bazgiret, whose original name is Maden, and take an in-village exploration walk. Then we continue to Cancir plateau and take a photo break on the city hill, pass through Lekoban and Fındıklı plateau respectively, get off the vehicle where the forest texture begins and start walking towards Efeler village. The duration of today’s walk will be determined according to the weather and road conditions. The vehicle will be following us on our walk, which will generally be downhill. We settle in our pension in Maçahel. After long chats and games about Maçahel, we go to rest.
4.DAY: EFELER – KAYALAR – MARAL
9 km – Mideum – Deparute at 09:00 am
After breakfast, we start walking towards Maral village. A pleasant walk on the dirt road awaits you. We will take a short break on the view hill in Kayalar village and then finish our walk in Maral village and have a local lunch in Maral village. Then we will descend on foot to the Maral waterfall, which is the highest waterfall in Turkey, spilling from a height of 63 metres (300 steps) Those who wish can get wet in the waterfall. Dinner and then we will take a Georgian dance lesson at the Caucasian night.
5.DAY: BORÇKA KARAGÖL LAKE
2 km – Easy – Departure at 09:00 am
Departure from the pension after breakfast. On our way, we visit Borçka Karagöl National Park, which was formed as a result of landslides. We walk around the lake for about 2km and move towards the Macahel valley. End of our trip to Trabzon.
