10 day hiking on the best trails of the Lycian Way, starting in Fethiye and ending in Antalya. A great combination of our Western and Central Lycia tours.

One of Turkey’s most renowned hiking routes is the Lycian Way, stretching approximately 540 kilometers along the country’s southwestern coastline. This trail takes adventurers through a fascinating journey encompassing ancient cities, azure bays, and rugged mountains. Highlights include the mesmerizing ruins of Olympos, the stunning Butterfly Valley, and the secluded beaches of Patara. Hikers can also encounter traditional rural villages, experiencing authentic Turkish culture and warm hospitality along the way.

1. Day ARRIVE TO DALAMAN
Upon arrival to Dalaman Airport, you will be transported to your hotel in Faralya village. Depending on the arrival time, you might have time to explore the coastal town.

2. Day Kayaköy-Ölüdeniz (9km / 3-4hrs )

If you want you can do Paraglading in the morning (extra) We will transfer you to the ruined village of Kayaköy by private vehicle. Once a thriving Greek village, Kayaköy has over one thousand houses, two churches, fourteen chapels, and two schools. It was completely deserted in 1923 when the orthodox Christian inhabitants had to move to Greece following the Turkish War of Independence. Climbing out of the village the path crosses a green headland to arrive at the famous white beaches of Ölüdeniz. You may enjoy a swimming break before taking the private vehicle back to Faralya. Dinner and overnight at guesthouse in Faralya.

3. Day Ovacık – Faralya (14km / 5-6hrs)
We will transfer you to the beginning of the Lycian Way where you start your hike with spectacular views towards the sea and Ölüdeniz. You ascend the lower slopes of Baba Dağı following antic lykian stone way. After passing the villages of Kozağaç and Kirme on a stretch of road you descend an age-old path to the small village of Faralya on the green slopes above the Butterfly valley. Dinner and overnight in guesthouse in Faralya.

4. Day Faralya – Alınca (13km / 5-6hrs)

You will start to walk from your pension in Faralya to Alınca along a forested path passing high above the secluded cove of Kabak. You will climb up a beautiful forest trail to the small Alınca village, with impressive views over Yedi Burun. Dinner and overnight in village house in Alınca.

5. Day Alınca – Sidyma – Bel (11km / 4-5hrs)

You will start to walk along the Seven Capes coastline towards a pasture with an Ottoman cistern. You follow and old mule trail inland and uphill to reach ancient Sidyma where you explore the ruins of this once huge city scattered around an inland valley and two hills. The village houses are constructed using ancient building blocks; inscriptions, tombs and city walls are visible. Then you will transfered by private vheicle to Bel. Dinner and overnight in pension.

6. Day Bel – Gavurağili – Patara (14km / 6-7hrs)

You will start walking from your pension The village road descends in a curved way after a slight slope. After passing a short and easy slope, the Gavuragili sign will welcome you. This track is quite steep, rocky and windy. Although the signs are clear, there may be a danger of slipping from time to time. We recommend you to descend this area very carefully. The descent will continue for about 900 metres. The view along the track is wonderful. Enjoy the view and the Mediterranean Sea. Transfer to Patara with the transfer vehicle waiting for you at the end of the road. Dinner and overnight in pension.

7. Day Delikkemer – Patara – Kaş (11km / 3-4hrs)

After a short transfer you visit the remains of a Roman aqueduct spanning a ravine at Delikkemer. It was part of a system that supplied water from the mountains to ancient Patara on the coast. You walk back from the aquaduct to Patara, partly following the course of the ancient water pipes. Patara is famous for its very long beach where the giant sea turtles, Caretta Caretta come for laying their eggs. It was also the birthplace of saint Nicholas, who became known as bishop of nearby (Myra) Demre. After exploring the ruins of this once leading city of the Lycian League, with a theatre, bath complexes and temples, you can relax on the beach. After then transfer to The Kas. Dinner and overnight in pension in Kas.

8. Day Kaş – Büyükçakıl – Limanağzı – Kaş (15km / 4-5hrs)

After a short transfer, you will start walking towards the ancient city of Phellos. This Lycian ancient city will amaze you with its ruins and the view of the mountains to the north. Then you will start walking towards the village of Cukurbag. You will continue by following the Lycian road signs. The road will lead you to the beautiful view of Kas. The reward at the summit is breathtaking. After a small break, you will continue your walk to the pension by zigzagging on the path in front of you.

9 Day Free day in Kaş

Start your walk from the hostel. You will pass through the centre of Kaş and follow the asphalt road until Büyükçakıl beach, then you will follow the signs of the alternative Lycian road and you will proceed to Limanağz with its low vegetation accompanied by exquisite views. You will have the opportunity to see the king tombs on your way. The road will end at an exquisite beach. This is a perfect spot for swimming and taking a break. If you wish, you can spend the rest of your day staying here until late. You can return to the centre of Kaş by taxi boats at late hours.

10. Day Transfer to Airport
